DepressingThe MC is seriously depressed， stupid， and weak。 I am tired of her constant self berating。 The amount of negativity in this book is astounding。 Nothing good happens。 Nothing。If I was given a chance， I would have learned to fight。 Not go along and follow the same exact path that screwed me the first time。 She wasted all that time with the one person who could help her。 Definable a book to skip。

Complicated to Follow 。 。 。Lily Aster’s mate， Caleb， was cruel and power-hungry。 Even the other shifters in the pack are hateful to her， abusive and enjoying her humiliation。 The final indignity occurs when he binds her to an altar to sacrifice her to a dark wolf divinity。 Rather than cater to Caleb’s selfish ambitions， the dark wolf turns in interest to Lily whose soul is somehow still intact， and creates another timeline for her to survive。 She begs him， a divine guardian， to help her against Complicated to Follow 。 。 。Lily Aster’s mate， Caleb， was cruel and power-hungry。 Even the other shifters in the pack are hateful to her， abusive and enjoying her humiliation。 The final indignity occurs when he binds her to an altar to sacrifice her to a dark wolf divinity。 Rather than cater to Caleb’s selfish ambitions， the dark wolf turns in interest to Lily whose soul is somehow still intact， and creates another timeline for her to survive。 She begs him， a divine guardian， to help her against Caleb， but he tells her he cannot do any harm to Caleb because she is bonded to him as his mate and will experience the consequences of harming him。 Will she be thrown into an even worse fate then if he can still get to her？ Or is Rathulfr her means of finding freedom？I found this book complicated。 It was difficult to follow the timeline information and repercussions of things that were happening。 We also did find out that Lily is a rare Arcanist whose soul is bound to the heart of Creation and is how she survived the soul-shattering sacrifice on the altar long enough for Rathulfr to rewind time。 So in the next book， I am sure we will learn much more about her capabilities。 。。。more
